A motor controller is a device that can move and stop an electric motor.

Battery management system (BMS)

A battery management system (BMS) is any electronic system that manages a rechargeable battery (cell or battery pack). It protects the battery from operating outside its safe operating area, monitors its state, calculates secondary data, reports that data, controls its environment and balances it.
